Each year, Riding School 1101 one of the largest riding schools in Canada, founded by Diane Authier, accommodates more than 40,000 visitors ranging from the professional to the CEO to the community worker, as well as children, teenagers and young adults, coming from all walks of life and work.
35 years ago, Diane Authier a high-level equine trainer, facilitator and teacher, launched her green company The Chevauthier and her Riding School 1101. Centered on an eco-responsible relationship with her environment and her clients, Diane also became involved in social causes and community services. Convinced that horses can stimulate learning, for the last 25 years Diane has shared her passion of horses with teenagers, touring secondary schools and presenting her conference À dos les sens/Riding on the back ofteenagers’ senses! In 2009, she launched her Foundation which offers grants to teenagers eager to pursue higher education but who lack sufficient funding, with the Fondation communautaire du grand Québec who will hold and manage its funds.
The mission of the Diane Authier Fondation is to support and develop the educational efforts of young adults and by doing so, to contribute to the future of Quebec in all areas. In this context, the Foundation awards scholarly grants to students based on merit and potential.
Diane Authier Fondation recognize the scholarly achievements of students who have excelled in the last years and who are eager to pursue higher education with the help of honorary grants.

The Foundation’s Committee is composed of Diane Authier and her two sons Simon et Gabriel Authier. Diane is particularly sensitive to the challenges of young people, coming herself from a modest family of 7 children. Furthermore, Diane had to work hard to be able to finance her own education and the education of her two sons. Simon has become a veterinarian and Gabriel, works as an event organizer in a multinational firm.

The financing of the Diane Authier Fondation negotiated with its partners or through fund raising activities, will be entrusted to the fund held at the Fondation communautaire du grand Québec (FCGQ) and will be used to implement scholarship programs for teenagers and young adults in lack of funding. It is thanks to the donations of companies and private individuals that the Foundation will be able to carry out its objectives oriented to the development of young people.
By choosing today to donate generously to the Foundation, , not only will you receive an income tax deduction, but you will also have the special satisfaction of knowing that, thanks to your contribution, in the coming years, many teenagers will be able to enjoy the advantages of an advanced education, so crucial to the realization of their dreams and their personal and professional objectives.
